Hi,

I've been approached by 2 people who are new to the acting world who want portfolio shots.

Headshots mainly, with a few others thrown in.

Anyone any examples of styles that are worth looking at?

I've a decent idea but it'd be nice to see what others are doing.

Style depends on the client surely?
-White background (/high key)
-Black background (/low key)
-Something more artistic

A friend of mine who is an actor said he was aware of fairly strict rules, yet a photographer local to me does very stylised/artistic headshots and charges a significant amount of wedge for them.

I think you need to work out what you can offer and then speak to your clients.
