I have photographed them in the open on several occasions but this time
I wanted to show the way they can blend in with background
This female(?) was very hard to spot even when you knew she was there!

I agree, a lovely shot. Its good to see pics taken as they actually are without disturbing anything - mind you, I dont think I would disturb one blade of grass to get an Adder shot lol.
