Hi me and the wife are off on a long holiday soon to Greece travelling very light, I will be taking my trusty FE2 film camera and a few items but we need a holiday digital to take care of the rest our trusty Samsung ST95 seems to be playing up a bit so its probably a good idea to replace.

Budget is £80 and it has to be super compact and do videos etc.

thoughts?

The waterproof, shockproof, ones might be a good idea. It's nice to relax on holiday and not worry about sand, salt water or dropping a delicate camera. It might encourage you to take a camera more places. Including swimming in the pool or over to some rocks.
We paid about 90 quid for the cheapest Fujifilm XP one with a 5x zoom:

But there are many cheaper cameras too.

Edit: I just noticed, you are "Mr Bump"! So shockproof it must be then!

yes I will agree with @ianp5a RE waterproof/shockproof, I have the Olympus TG830 and it is great knowing it can go just about anywhere, you can currently get it £134.99 so above budget but look around and you can find Fuji's within budget.. or look to see if spending a bit more might get you something you would use other than holiday for EG the TG830 offers 120fps 720p HD straight out of camera which I use all the time not just when on hols, I keep the camera in my motorbike jacket so I always have something with me.. sometimes it is worth looking at just over budget options to see if it is justifiable.

Thanks some good suggestions but not looking for waterproof type cameras I wuouldn't take a camera to the beach etc.

That's what I said, then I dropped our brand new family compact camera from 2 foot onto a parkett floor causing a zoom malfunction.

slightly over budget, but how about a Fuji xf1 . a referb one from Fuji for not much over £100
