Morning all
At the moment I have a Nikon d90 with Nikon grip a Nikon 18x105 and Nikon 70x300 In November I will be 50 and the wife has been asking me what I would like as a gift. She is willing to spend up to £1500 and I could add £500 if needed. I am into motorsport photography mainly. So what do you guys and girls suggest a new body (not mine although it could do with a bit of improvement:lol:) or a lens or lenses Thanks for any help an advice.

Does it have to be new or is used OK? If it was me, my £1500-2000 would be going on a D300 for better ergonomics and AF and a 70-200 VR plus a monopod to rest it on.

Thanks John. New really as I wouldn't be very comfortable buying second hand as being new to photography. Also I forgot to say I would like to stick with Nikon.

In that case it's easy, Nikon 70-200 VRII :thumbs: you can get one for under £1600 new. I owned one for a short while and it's stunning lens.
