Advice...possible dust in new camera

ive just started using my new 70D and have noticed a speck which is clearly visible through the view finder. I thought it must be dust on the lens, but on inspection it seems to be in the camera, possibly on the mirror. I've checked my photos and the mark doesn't show. Is this a normal accourance? And can I clean it myself? Now I've seen it, it's bugging me and my OCD nature won't let me unsee it. Any advice would be much appreciated.

quite normal, it could be on the mirror, prism or focus screen. You will learn to live with them. If its not affecting the images, leave it be.

plus they end up usually moving on their own

Might be worth checking what the shutter count was when you bought it to see if it had been used before you bought it.

Thanks guys. I've arranged to exchange it, as the pop up flash also intermittently sticks. I've only had it a week so, back to Amazon it goes.
