Advice wide angle lens for canon

Hi

I looking to buy an ultra wide angle lens for my canon 550D. Thinking of canon 10-22. Any advice or suggestions? Is this is the best available according to you?

Pls share your thoughts.

Depending on your budget, firstly the Canon (I haven't used it but said its the best) I would then say Sigma 10-20 (there's 2 versions, f3.5 and 4-5.6, I have the 4-5.6) I would recommend this big style, I've had mine about 6 months and it's brilliant. Check out my Flickr, all my Light-Painting shots have been taken with it. Then the Tamron 10-24, heard not so great reviews about this but it's the cheapest of the lot.

There is also the Tokina lenses but I'm not familiar with these.
 
I had a 10-22 when I had my 40D, I was sad to see it go when I went full frame.

£ for £ I think it's an unbeatable lens. IQ well up with my 17-40L that cost me a lot more.

I wouldnt hesitate to buy another if I ever gave up Full frame.
 
I'm waiting for the Tokina 11-16 2.8f version II
