I am wedding photographer and I faced the biggest nightmare last Saturday: my D850 (bought last December), used with 24 70 lens, SB700, stopped to focus (AF S) in the middle of the church ceremony.
(I have finished well the experience with my D750 and at some point with D850 using the center AF points...but I do not wish to anyone the feelings I had...)
I have done a lot of tests after and the outer points on the right side refuses to focus even in good natural light. The next interior vertical row works fine.
In low light, the same points doesn't activate the light red beam of the SB 700.
By now worked just fine, in the same combo.
I did tested the camera with 70 200 and 50mm and the problem remain.
In LV works fine, on the right side of the frame on AF.
There is anything to be done before sending it to service?
