After the rain

I took these a few days ago in the garden after it had rained a little. Any advice or things I could do better etc? Or anything I did well for that matter? BTW I know the rose was past its best before date ;o)
Am using a Nikon D3000

The lenses used were;

1. Sigma 70-300mm

2. 18-55mm kit lens

3. 18-55mm kit lens

I have just started using the Sigma lens in macro mode and found it is quite good, focused manually though as I prefer manual focus when I am able to take my time.

I prefer number 1 as i like the out of focus red rose which appears as a soft red blob

Lovely set. I agree with the views above. My only suggestion would be to go even closer to the water drops? Beautiful sharp focus on them.
