A few from our local lake taken in yesterdays sunshine. I'd love to know what the birds are in 2 and 3 as well as 7 and 8 (think that was a baby #9!). C&C please!

Some nice shots, a bit of space around 2,3,4 and 5 would have looked better.
I dont know what 7 is but 2 & 3 are are female moorhens

Edit: the reflections in some of these shots are superb

Yep they're Moorhens . #2 is a fantastic shot IMO...nice and clear and sharp - just a bit oversaturated maybe?

The adult morehens beaks are over saturated, but otherise these ae cracking shots! You nailed the reflections too. Oh and yes they are Moorhens and the other is a jouvenile Moorhen.

cheers! I don't think the lake has a name, possibly codnor park and ironville reservoir. We're right on the notts/derbs border about 15 miles east of matlock.
