Has anyone tried to cut paper rolls into narrower sizes?

I just realised I have 2.62m width in my small studio and I've bought seemless rolls which are 2.72m wide. I have only two options, cut them or return them.

If anyone has cut these before how did they turn out?

I've cut one before.
I just made sure it was as tightly rolled as possible, taped the loose edge and cut with a fine toothed wood saw. Make sure the roll is secure in a "Workmate" (Or similar.) before cutting.
You could tell my cut edge from the original machine cut edge, but it did the job.
Good luck and mind your fingers! :)

Thanks. I was more worried that the cardboard roll would fall apart. I'll give it a go.

Hack saw or tenon saw (y)

I've cut rolls of thermal paper in the past with a hacksaw. Same principle just somewhat easier to handle (& the edge darkened due to the heat of the sawblade)
The finer toothed the saw you use the smoother the edge will be.
