My question is with regard to Shutter speeds on my Nikon D60.

I have been looking at various "night time" shots on the 'tinternet that were taken with the D60. on some photos the data is claiming shutter speeds of 90 sec and more.

I was under the impression the D60 is restricted to a maximum of a 30 sec exposure.

Am I missing something here? Is there a trick I should know about?

Thanks

Switch to manual and the shutter speed can go into BULB mode which is the next click after 30s. This way you can get 30mins from it if need be.

You'll need a remote though to open/close the shutter.

Bulb setting will keep shutter open while you hold it down.

With a remote use time and first press opens shutter 2nd closes after whatever time you want

Using BULB you can hold the shutter open for as long as you want. It's not resticted to 30 mins.
