An early start this morning

Popped out to our local RSPB reserve this morning about 7 to see what was around. It was quite a productive morning.

1. Reed Bunting with Breakfast

2. Common Tern

3. Mink (yes, I know its not a bird!)

4. Male Marsh Harrier

5. Male Marsh Harrier (again!)

6. Not anothe shot of the Male Marsh Harrier (this is a bit of a crop but I liked the angle)

7. His "Missus"

8. A Juvenille Whitethroat (I think!)

Nice varied set there.One thing though 7am is a LATE start, i had been out at my RSPB site from 5am..

Really, really good set. No1 for me

1 & 8 are crackers

however I like ho #5 is working out - shows the harrier with some surroundings and it is pretty clear that there is some hunting going on.

Richard - I was forced into environmental for the harrier shots due to the distance they were away but I am quite pleased with how they came out... Must head back soon...

Thanks all. I think the bunting is my favourite shot of the day. Do want to head back on a cooler day as I think the harrier pics could be improved with better air quality.
