An interesting Russian camera !

So it takes two frames of the same scene with one press of the shutter release?

The advantage for me would be the ability to get through a roll of 36 exposures in 6 months instead of 12

It still won't meet the output of the nuclear powered flashgun that Brian uses! @excalibur2 :cool::cool:

When you hear the air attack warning, take cover.

And just in case you wondered whether or not the government of the time had things covered, even if the wind was in the wrong direction for a 'quick' directional take off...

And how many of us at the time of the cold war knew the Vulcan bomber could be flown like that? Perhaps there might be something in this 1950s, 60s and 70s technology after all? ;)

It seems that more than one camera (well, obviously :p) has been joined in this way. I thought I'd mention that the Exakta actually had a stereo viewfinder that could be switched for the prism or waist level finder, and what amounts to a beamsplitter to record two images on one frame. But in searching for a link, I found that someone had joined Exaktas. Making what is strictly speaking a twin lens reflex...

"I've seen the light" and bought a Nex 3 but haven't used it much cos when I want to finish up a roll of film it's an excuse to use my flashgun. o_O:D

I had a brief play with stereo/3d photography using a android app on my phone, I tried the cross eye thing to get it to appear 3d and also the red and blue glasses. It did work very well, I even tried to buy a 3d/stereo adapter that screwed on the front of my Prakticas lens giving two off set images in one 135 frame but someone else wanted it more.
