On Saturday, I went down to Lee-on-Solent to be with my sister Maureen as it was the 4th anniversary of the passing of our (other) sister, Ann. Maureen had some of Ann's ashes, so we decided to scatter them on the beach where she used to walk her dog when she was staying with my sister. Through ill health she ended up being a regular visitor, so Basil, her Labrador got used to running around on the beach. Sadly, on 13th April 2020, Covid did it's worst and took her from us.

I shot this portrait on her wedding day, as she got messed around by the photographer a week or so before hand so I offered to shoot the wedding for her. She had an infectious smile, a loud laugh and a great sense of humour. She is sadly missed.

At least now we can visit my other sister and take an hour to walk on the beach where our sibling loved to be.

Lovely picture, and a lovely but sad story. I'm very sorry for your loss, but I hope that among the sadness there are memories that make you smile.
