Very similar to the appearance of something called CoolIris which can be used to browse sites such as google images, flickr, getty images etc. in this manner. I use CoolIris a lot and love it.

Just downloaded CoolIris.... indeed it is quite cool!

you dont need SnowLeopard for that - Chrome 4 does it just as easily.

CoolIris or PicLens or whatever it's called now is actually a quite efficient tool for using google image search I find

sl is cool but make sure you boot in into 64 bitt then its even cooler

It doesn't make any difference really unless you have huge amounts of RAM. SL will run apps in 64 bit even if the kernel is in 32 bit.
