Undecided Anyone going to RIAT?

I’ve been asked to support our aircraft that will be on display at this year RIAT.
Although I will be working some of the weekend, I will be taking my camera gear.
I will hopefully have an access all areas pass so should be able to get where crowds can’t.
I am really wanting to get some pyrotechnic shots of helicopters etc.

Any advice before going, what to take and where is best to set up?

It's a long day of displays never mind the static aircraft. Make sure you have a hat if its sunny and plenty available to drink.
I well remember twice I went in a sort of official capacity: first time when my dad (as a local mayor) was an official guest of the station commander- the US military barbecue was the best ever; and when I went representing Glos Aviation Collection (now the museum at Staverton), we had a caravan and stand so had access over two days. Brilliant.
