I guess this confirms that this is what they call a "niche" camera 
It's pretty much the first ever pocket sized camera with an APS-C size sensor but it has a 28mm equivalent fixed focal length lens which will probably put off 95% of potential customers who expect a zoom on this type of camera.
Got mine delivered yesterday so not really had a chance yet to put it through its paces but I notice a few things about it.

Got mine delivered yesterday so not really had a chance yet to put it through its paces but I notice a few things about it.
- Noticeablely larger than the GRD IV, but not too large.
- Shutter click now audible...just
- LCD preview better for moving objects - less jumpy
- Program mode seems to favour f/4, but not yet tested it in sunlight
- Rubber handgrip certainly smells of ....rubber
- Rear LCD not recessed like on GRD IV so need to be careful if resting it on something to avoid scratching it
- Battery meter shows partially used battery quite quickly - well before battery goes flat
- manual focus controlled by front command dial rather than rear 4 way switch
- There appears to be more control over LCD display modes for preview & playback - you can remove modes you do not need.
