I already have two 580s, and was thinking of buying a couple of new ones. However, I'm not interested in ETTL, just OCF (not OFC as I originally posted - DOH!), manual.

Therefore the above seem like a valid option.

Anyone had experience of them? Thoughts?

Took delivery of mine on Friday and so far very impressed with it. Wireless functionality with my 7D is fine and as Micloi says, it's very powerful!!!!
 
pretty expensive for just using in manual? why not the Yongnuo YN460 II or 560? or Lumopro LP160 even is a cheaper alternative.

EDIT: Just saw that the OP needed manual flashes
Still the 866 is one of the most powerful ones available and can be used in other modes too if needed. If the OP was using 580's then the 866's would be a logical buy

the OP said "just OFC, manual." OFC meaning Off Camera Flash, so I assumed he is using some kind of radio trigger and setting the power levels manually, hence suggesting something that isn't ETTL and priced according to those functions.
 
I have one too and it works extremely well as both a Master or Slave Flash - using it as a normal flash in ETTL mode, you also have a sub flash that can give some frontal illumination whilst you are bouncing the main flash.

Very controllable, probably more so than my 580EX II........... A very good value and powerful flashgun.

What about accuracy? Is it as accurate as the 580ex2? I use to own the Nissan di622, and its not accurate at all. Sometimes it fires way too much light and sometimes its just not that strong. I was wondering if the Nissan di866 can do a better job.

Yes, I currently use off camera flash using YN-04 and Cactus V5 triggers. So, on one hand the ETTL side of things isn't of interest. On the other hand, it would nice to have something like the 866 with ETTL just in case the 580s pack up! Decisions decisions.
