Have you considered using Live view for the same grid? I often use Live view when on tripod for the grid to avoid wonkiness.
My lenses are all 2.8 or faster execept when I get the teleconverter out... but I do very little MF so I don't think I need the EG-S really.I have EG-A and EG-S, S makes my f4 zoom lenses a stop darker, so it's no go. I use A most of the time and change to S at home for manual focusing with M42 lenses. Very easy to change, do it in 30 seconds.

Interesting. I think what will probably work best for me is to chuck an EG-D in and then leave it there permanently. There don't appear to be any downsides to to doing that."D" screens live permanently in by bodies. It makes composing a lot easier.
Changing them is easy but also carries a risk of introducing more dust or scratching them. Fingerprints would finish them too.
Heh nice! Really I want something I can see through the viewfinder though. Why not try one of these wee devils and save the battery?

The wonkiness is more apparent in family type photos when I haven't had time to properly consider where the horizon should be - when kids are running around for example. So Live View is too slow for those occasions.
