I am buying myself a Mac Mini to plug into my TV.

I plan to sit back on the sofa and use it with my wireless keyboard & ......

Well ive bought a Magic Mouse but now im thinking hmm how the ... can i use a mouse on my lap with no mat?

So im thinking is the trackpad a better option?

Anyone got one? Any Good?

Anyone use one for photos? easy to rotate zoom la la la all the gadgets worth it?
 
I had one and sent it back, it just didn't do anything more than the MM for me.

Your need is different 'sit back on the sofa' so depends what you are going to be doing when sitting back?

If it's just general browsing then should be fine but if you wanted to do anything more precise then not recommended.

ps if you have an iPad or iPhone you could use that with the right app
 
i have an iphone? ... and im just worried that with my Magic mouse im not going to be able to swipe it all over my sofa and it work properly ..

is the pad really that crap?

I wouldn't say crap but I sit at an iMac with a magicmouse and felt the trackpad wasn't giving me anything really extra.

But agree that using the mm on the sofa doesn't seem appropriate, I would check out some of the iPhone apps and then if you're still really not happy then order the trackpad, you can always send it back within 14 days (check how long) if not happy with it.
 
Can't really recommend as I don't really have the need, I did buy the Air Mouse Pro app ages ago but never had the need so haven't really used it.... it works is all I could say ;)
 
I have also had both Magic Mouse and the trackpad. I think that you may be better of with the trackpad as it doesn't need a solid surface - but apart from that they are pretty similar. I think that the mouse was better, but they just do the same thing in a slightly different way.
 
im going to buy a macbook pro instead now lol so got a virtually brand new keyboard and magic mouse for sale ::P £80 posted anyone lol
