I'm not quite sure how I feel about this photo, some have said it's great, but I look at it and even a couple of months after taking it I can't quite make my mind up. It was taken in September from Cradle Hill, above Seaford, East Sussex. Storms were approaching from the English Channel. and I set up briefly here before heading to the sea front at Seaford. I captured the lightning lighting up the sky. The bolt itself is just a bright white light between the clouds and sea, and the other bright light to the left is the moon, which really hampered the exposure. It was pitch black from where I was taking the photos so trying to pull out any detail from the foreground wasn't easy in processing.
