Arson on yet another historic pub in the Black Country !

What is going on the the Black Country? Sad news. Being from West Bromwich originally, I know that pub and there are a great many in the area that have a great heritage.

Real shame.
 
Grade 2 listed buildings are very expensive to maintain. There's one at the end of my road and they have carried out a lot of work with no permissions (including building an outside entertainments area). The result is amplified, loud live music being played outdoors, which travels over half a mile, annoying all the neighbours! The poor old Grade 2 building has been painted (over beautiful Norfolk 19th century brickwork) a shade of battleship grey/blue. Yuk! Arson? Sounds like a plan if they get the retrospective permissions they have applied for!
