I have always loved astro photography, the pictures you can get are amazing. Jessops Telescope 1100-102 seems a great way to start, im not sure if anyone has used one or maybe even own one but I need an opinion from someone who does this sort of thing. Another problem is I cant find it on the Jessops website, is there a reason for this?

Hi Andy,

I too love astrophotography. I don't know anything about that scope though I'm afraid. Why don't you go over to the Stargazerslounge (.com) and someone is sure to be able to give you great advice!

Liz :D

I cant do that, tp is the one and only! :D But on the quiet shhh

Without knowing which specific scope you are looking at, it's difficult to offer advice. Some scopes are not suited to astrophotography, as they have insufficient focussing adjustment to work with a camera. Most of those are of the Newton design (reflector), so if it's one of those you are looking at, it would be well to check you can achieve focus with a camera attached before splashing out your hard earned.

Nice one about the forum, changed from a the jessops brand to the Skywatcher 130. Doing some research about it, maybe getting on soon. Depends if anything comes up or not.

To get your mouth watering.

Used my Nickon D80 with this but mostly for the moon and planets, with a focal reducer fitted can image deep sky stuff, but learning curve is very steep and expensive if you get the bug.:shake:

As mentioned stargazerslounge is a good place to start looking for info
