Great shot - one change I would have made is to perhaps adopt a lower viewpoint to profile the gold bales against the grey sky (easy to say after the event I know :))

But that aside its still a really pleasing image :)

thanks for the nice comments, yes agree about a lower position it would have made a nice pic too, I was lucky really to find the bales still out, the sky looked nice too then the sun came out for a few mins which did help with the colours and the light. (y)
 
A lovely capture!
The light and the angry sky giving a lovely warm colour, with the knowledge that things are going to get wet, very soon.
