At last I've got a tenant!

Three years ago I put up a bird box with a camera in it with little to no success, but tonight by accident I switched the TV on to the AV channel and I have a Blue Tit lodger. I suppose it is only roosting at this time of the year. Is this a good sign for success next spring?

Oh I so love this! We had great tits nesting in our box last summer, we could hear the babies and watched the parents frantically feeding them throughout the day. Really wished I had one of these at the time.

Sometimes in winter nestboxes can get lots of roosting birds, nice and cosy, and as you say next Spring you may have it used for a nest site.
