He was quite close then.... think I would rather have a long lens...
 
that guy is nearly as nuts as steve erwin was i watch his program every now and then and he picks up the worlds deadliest animals with a stick
 
did you ever see the one where he was shooting snakes and he feel out of the tree into the amazon with a HUGE anaconda swimming about - classic viewing.

I saw one of his programs once and got so irritated by his treatment of the animals i turned it off.
The bloke seems to be a complete a*se and spends most of the program just pretending to be a wildlife photographer. The photos you see him take on screen (if he is actually taking any) must turn out to be terrible.
 
Actually Austin is a very kind, considerate, compassionate and enthusiastic gentleman as well as a very good photographer. He most certainly is not an a**e!!!!!:thumbsdown:

Such a shame people can be so judgemental when they don't even know the person they are talking about.:bang:
 
Well i just judged him from standing on the backs of animals and chasing around animals until they were obviously distressed. If he does indeed have those qualities then it really didn't show in the episode i watched.

I definitely saw enough to know i really hated everything about what he was doing just for so called entertainments sake.
I don't have to know a person in detail to tell if i like them or not from the evidence i saw. It was enough to actually enrage me and i don't get angry easily.
 
I haven't seen the program so can't comment on him, but whats wrong with having a samsung DSLR?

I have the GX-10, I love it. The naff shots I get are user based issues not camera based. Its a pentax rebadged, a great bit of kit.
