Jummy, the top shot required A LOT of work, principally on the sky (burning in), and the dry moat (dodging), oh and some contrast mask etc, etc!

Just had a look at that place from above on Microsofts Live Local and it looks like a great location for photography.

Also noticed you got a great foreshortening effect on that top shot

The first one works really well, I like the autumnal greens, reds, and browns in the image. The wooden bridge leading through the right-hand side is very good also.

Used to live just round the corner from there and visited regularly as a kid. Did you know that once the Royal hunting 'rides' went uninterrupted from there all the way to Hampton Court and the parks of Hampton Ct, Richmond, Bushy, Burgess Park, Kennington Park, Greenwich Park, Clapham Wandsworth and Wimbledon Commons are the vestiges of them?
All in the time of Henry VIII, who lived at Eltham Palace until he was about 16 years old.
