Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8

200th @ f/8 hand-held.

water droplets always do the job..rob
i see you prefer shallower apertures..does the micro nikkor go down to f32
glad you put your hat in the ring
cheers
geof

Wish you hadn't clipped the ends on the first shot!

#2 wins for me - nice detail!

I have wider shots - this looks better to me...

...and the Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8 does indeed stop down to f/32...

That would have meant getting the Gitzo out, cleaning it, turning the centre-column upside down and a bit more faff than was required for what is essentially a posh happy-snap...

Very nice - water droplets look lovely.
Might just have a go at this myself

I like them too, especially the first one. I think it's a more effective shot with the smaller water drops instead of just a few big ones. Looks a lot more random. Great colours too, very seasonal.

:agree: ..... I thought exactly the same when I looked at the two shots :)

:agree: The control of light and sharpness is awesome in both shots but the 2nd just shades it for me too, nice job (y)

edit: I stumbled onto your feed on deviantart the other day, some interesting shots from recent conflicts, the suicide bomber shot in particular caught the eye

Or just use a well diffused flash.

I've looked at these a few times and not been able to make my mind up.

I think I prefer #1 with more of the leaf in view but I'm not so keen on the b/g, however I do like the close up detail in #2 :LOL:
