My name is Mike and I like playing with my camera at weekends. (AA style intro out the way)
To be honest I never had any interest in photography until I started going the motorbike road racing events a couple of years ago and bought myself a Canon Powershot IS II with a 12x optical zoom it was ideal for getting in on the action. I couldn't believe the shots I was getting with this camera and its done me well.
Anywho - I decided it was time to upgrade to a DSLR and last weekend I purchased a Canon EOS350d package (good deals at Jessops at the mo) and a Sigma 170-500mm lens. Now - as a complete novice to SLR's this looked like a good setup for the shots I was looking to take.
I christened the camera on Sunday at the World Superbike round at Donnington Park - and I'm fairly happy with the shots, but now the learning begins!!
