Well last nights impromptu trip was a fun one. I took the family back out with me in hope to do some more funky portraits but the sky wasn't quite there, so i made my own fun. After standing in dazzling high beams for a few minutes i walked over to a car to find a chap and his youngish boys, and politely asked if he cold turn off his car in the dark sky reserve, what happened next was exactly why i love and share these sights with anyone who will listen. All of them looking up in awe as i pointed out constellations and explained if they hung around until moonset i would take a picture of them in there new car which they had just been to buy. An hour of chatting and seeing some meteors the show started so i set up and snapped away and hopefully gave them a night to remember by sending the pic this morning. I stayed well after moonset but the feedback this morning was really good
