Looking for something comfortable to carry for a few hours at a time, with easy access and will take my 5D with 24-105L attached, plus my 100-400L with a little bit of extra room for other bit's & pieces.

Thanks - Simon.

Lowepro Slingshot or Fastpack gives you quick access without taking the backpack off. I have used the Fastpack 250 for a couple of years and love it!

Kata 3N1-30  - bit of a "jack of all trades" backpack/slingshot

Tamrac expedition series???

Get yourself down to a local camera shop (if they have one near you?!) and have a look at a few.....I doubt the shop will mind you trying them on, and you'll get a better idea of what you'll be able to fit in them!

That's the problem unfortunately, I don't. I'm going to need to order online...

I have a RedSnapper Duo and extremely comfortable, currently inside is:

Gripped 500D
100-400L
70-200L f2.8
Siggy 10-20 f/4.5-5.6
50mm 1.8
18-55 IS
430EX II
Hama card holder

And a few other bits and bobs, superb value for the price and very comfy shoulder strap, currently £39.95 and think there is a TP discount...

I have a bulky Lowepro Mini Trekker AW, its used more as a house to all of my gear when at home - its a bit bulky to take out on shoots. However on big trips its perfect - It fits my body with 70-200 F4 attached with the lens hood left on - just for quick access.

Thats actually quite a small backpack in the grand scheme of things!

I've already got a Lowepro Vertex 100 AW which I keep all my gear in, but was looking for something in the Sling type design that was lighter and a bit smaller, but would still take my 5D with 24-105 attached plus my 100-400. It looks like the Lowepro Classified Sling 180 AW would do the job and is 1kg lighter than my Vertex 100 AW, so I've just ordered one @£60 as recommended by macro_man - good price as well, thanks again!

I'll report back on it once I have it :)

It took a while to get here, but I have my Lowepro Classified Sling 180AW at long last and I'm happy to report I'm very pleased with it! :)

It's well made and lightweight. My 5D with 24-105L attached, plus my 100-400L fit perfectly, leaving a little bit of extra space for other bit's & pieces. It's exactly what I was looking for, so thanks again for everyones input and particularly macro_man for the recommendation.

Cheers - Simon.
