Just seen the Tamrac Anvil Super 25 looks okay the ones above are a bit out of my price range

Not certain but I think it will take the 500 F4 with a 1.4 extender and camera attached. With the removable padding (at the bottom) taken out my Mk1 version swallows a 600 F4 or my 800 F5.6 L IS with pro body attached.

Nice comfy pack too - though the Mk2 is a little better in this respect.
 
I'm using Lowepro 500 aw flipside for 600 f4 mkii with extender and camera body stowed separately in the bag.
 
Just ordered the Tamrac Anvil Super 25 got for a good price thanks for the help Sean
 
Tamrac Anvil Super 25 with the Canon 500mm F4 and Canon 7D mk2 and still room for the 1.4 extender to be attached quite happy with it .
