Critique Bailey the Yorkshire Terrier

Took the dog out to get some photos of him in action which was pretty hard as he's not the most active dog. I way lay on the ground with the zoom lens and the missus threw the ball towards me.

The second shot is not bad at all Simon. The third is too tight a crop for me, and in the first the focus is soft on the eyes lovely looking dog though.

Just checked the first shot on your flickr, could be just motion blur just slightly soft on his eyes.

Thanks prob too slow shutter speed. Not done this kind before so just had camera set to aperture priority and instead of shutter.
