Hi guys

My music on my Macbook is sounding a bit too tinny for my liking. I want more bass! Is there a program already installed on a mac to help with sound settings?

Thanks in advance

Sarah

Is it the MacBook 13' you have? Mine is, and it has very poor speakers - my old Nokia 5800 gave much better sound! As far as I can see, there are no equaliser settings on it - and I've been through everything! Sounds like one for the Mac shop!

Well I'm listening to my music via my dad's snazzy earphones. So I just wanted to know if there is a program on board to help with settings.

Its seems there isn't. Grrrrrr :D

Nevermind!

Macs come with itunes pre-installed. iTunes has an equalizer built in.

I've got itunes on my windows pc, if I go to the 'View' menu, there's a part near the bottom called 'Show Equaliser'. Admittedly, it's not fantastic, but you can manually control it if you wish.

It's definitely not going to make the speakers on a 13" laptop sound amazing, you're better off buying a quality set of headphones/speakers!

If you don't have speakers capable of delivering the low frequency sounds (bass) then you won't be able to make them capable of doing so by using an equalizer.
