You can't be any more bored than me. I just spent two hours shooting some screws (see thread in this section)
I've done a lot of lamp shots (during the rain). I finally found the best solution was to get an in-line dimmer switch threaded onto a lamp cord and use a low watt bulb with clear glass. Of course, none of that is very safe in the rain!
