Beginners Macro Shots

Have just started taking macro shots and here a few from today.

#1 for me, nice vivid colours

#2 for me the exposure is spot on #1 looks like the flash didn,t fire #3&4 sorry to messy dont know where to look maybe just the charm and not the whole necklace might help good first effort

2 looks very good to me, 3 okay 1 and 4 not for me.

No 2 for me, but i think the pendant without the chain would have made a more interesting shot.

Number one is a little unsharp and over-saturated, but two is spot on. The jewellery shots are fine, but give a little more thought, perhaps, to composition. If these are your first efforts you are to be congratulated!

Claire please don't take this the wrong way but none of these shots really do anything for me, try thinking about the composition, have a look at the rule of 3rds, try using your lens at 1:1 with the jewellery and try using the light from a window to help with lighting - then post up the results. - hope this helps

#2 is the best of the bunch I think. #1 looks like the white balance is incorrect. All nice and sharp though so not all bad
