Bellows

I have just been given a load of Minolta 35mm kit, part of which is a bellows
1v, does anyone know if this will work with my dinax 700si & Sigma 105mm macro lens?

If the lens mounts on the bellows match you body and lens then it should be fine. The bellows will simply act as an infinitely variable extension tube and allow the Siggy to focus more closely increasing it's magnification.
A 50mm macro lens would be a better option as the extension required with a 105mm lens will be more than double that with a 50mm lens to achieve the same increase.

Bob

Edit.....looks complicated when written down

Thanks Bob, there is a Minolta 7000 with a 50mm macro lens in the kit, so this should do the job fine, I`ll have to get a mini studio built and have a go.

The gear I showed in this thread http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=94224 has a 20mm macro lens on it although I've also got a 50mm for lower magnification/longer working distance usage.

As first stated, the 105 will work fine but the 50 will give you a much larger magnification.....either way, you'll doubtless be needing to get some light in there somehow.

You were right about the light Bob, with the 50mm lens on , the bellows about half open, the focus point is about 1in from the lens, and very dark, looks like it will take some getting used to.
