Best Adapter For Nikon F & G To FujiFilm X Mount

If you need a speedbooster-type then there are cheaper brands like camdiox although the one I have can't focus to infinity so you're probably better off with the metabones. If you just want an adapter then you don't need to spend much at all, you can get ones that operate the aperture blades on G lenses for not much money on eBay etc.

Thanks Kev. If I need the lens to fully function as it was intended (i.e.. AF) which adapters should I be looking at?
 
I don't know of any that allow the AF to work - I might be wrong but I don't think it's possible with Nikon glass on Fuji X. Focus peaking is pretty good though.

Trading the Nikkors in against XF lenses! ;) Would be nice if there was an adaptor to cross lens between the 2 systems but getting them to talk the same language could be difficult.

Quite! I got my wires slightly crossed on that one!! Hey ho! Fortunately, my plan for the X-T1 is to delve deeper into macro photography, which has always been my main attraction, so manual will be fine! I'll grab a decent mid-zoom for other stuff.
 
I reckon an older Tamron 90mm with its own extension tube would be close to ideal for that, Dunc. There might even be an Adaptall mount for Fuji X mount.
 
I've got one of THESE from Amazon and although it's not perfect, it does the job... You'll retain metering but lose AF with it and the aperture stops are very simplistic but they work. You've got the choice of open, 1/3, 2/3 and fully stopped down. You'll need to enable 'Shoot Without Lens' in the camera menu and set the AF to manual so that it works properly. I tend to use the high-red focus-peaking option to make it more accurate.

Had a Metabones Nikon G to Sony FE mount and it was good, but ever so slighgtly off on infinity focus. I find Novoflex stuff to be of much better quality manufacture, but their design for Nikon G adapter isn't quite as nice as the Metabones. What is nice is that a lens with an aperture ring can be used with clicked aperture or seamless for video by mounting it on a G adapter.
