Best Compact for ~£200

I'm looking to buy my mum a new camera for xmas with a budget of around £200 excluding memory etc.

She currently has a Canon Powershot A4?? so 3 or 4 megapixels and 3x optical zoom. I want something small with a longer zoom capability that will perform well when left on automatic.
I've been looking at the Nikon S8000 and Canon SX210 but can't decide which to go for.
Does anyone have any comments on the above models or anything else to throw into the mix?

Personally, id go for the Panasonic TZ8. I don't know about the Canon or Nikon, but the TZ8 has wide angle and a good zoom and able to shoot in manual.
