Hello!

Hope you are all staying safe.
I'm new to the forum but i'm really stuck and would love some advice.

I have just been given a hand me down camera (Nikon D3200) which is one up from my Nikon D3100. I have a project set for me once lock down is over which is to film an aviation video for my friend as he flies planes. One of the shots I'd like to be able to achieve is his take off, luckily I have access to the end of the runway (well pretty much very close) and I would love to film a good zoomed in shot of this as he departs.

I'm really stuck on what lens to get for my Nikon D3200, I was looking at the 24-70mm f/2.8 lenses but i'm hearing they are better on full frame rather than cropped frame which is a shame. I've also looked at the Tamron 70-300mm lens too but for that I know i'd have to keep very still (tripod for that one).

So that's it really, i'll be getting shots inside the aircraft while he is flying, and i'm planning to get an action camera/go pro to film himself as he flies or place at the front of the cockpit so you can see everything going on.

All advice is highly appreciated and lens recommendations will help loads!

Thank you :D
