Hey there
I need some advice on which camera to buy. I've previously owned a Nikon D60 and a Canon EOS 500D, but I was always leaving them at home, as they felt cumbersome and fiddly. I love my photography, but I'm desperate for something that is compact, fixed length lens (all those mouth watering 2.0 pancakes!), quick-to-use (for spur of the moment street photography), but with the possibility to fiddle around with the shutter speeds etc also.
Obviously the new 4/3rds cameras are perfect, but which one? I like the look of the GF1, but its a little over my budget (discovering the cost of the viewfinder was pretty deflating!). I'd like a compact camera with the low aperture pancake lenses, and a viewfinder is a must, so i've narrowed it down to the Olympus Pen E-P1, and the slightly older Panasonic Lumix LX3.
Does anyone have any thoughts on which is the better camera? Or maybe any alternatives that will have a pancake lens and a viewfinder for maximum £600? I did have a brief look at the Ricoh's...
Thanks
