best telephoto for under £350???

Im a nikon user and im off to north west scotland for christmas and im after a telephoto for under/around 350, any sugestions or do i save up?
Im after shooting eagles and other wildlife.

I was going to recommend a 2nd hand Nikon AF 80-200mm f/2.8, but for wildlife photography such as eagles, you may want a longer focal length, so i would probably recommend the Nikon 70-300mm VR. The 70-300 can also be picked up for well under your budget too :)
 
I just got a Nikon AF 80-200mm f/2.8, still waiting for a good day to try it properly though. It is supposed to be the lens for sport and nature but I would like a bit more length so we'll see.......

For eagles and wildlife you want to go as long as you can. In the Nikon range, the 70-300 VR is probably your best bet. You might be able to pick up a Sigma 135-400 for close to (but probably not within) your budget, but I don't know how good it is.
