The first four I like a lot, they wouldn't look out of place in some of the bike mags but the last three I'm not keen on.

5 I just don't find interesting, it's like the one above but that one has a more interesting background, I think you'd have been better getting in closer and losing the background.

6 doesn't look good blown up, too slow a shutter speed stops the bike from being sharp and it looks a bit flat, might suit a contrasty B&W conversion.

7 just looks like a bad photoshop cut and paste because of the lack of shadows attaching the bike to the floor and the gradient lighting doesn't suit it either, I reckon you probably know that though seeing as you felt the need to explain that it was a studio shot.

Link doesn't work for me mate.

1. Like this, best of the set. Good composition but lacking a little in contrast maybe?

2. Just looks like a snapshot. Get lower

3. Same as 2. Get a little lower.

4. Okay, but bikes a little too low in the frame. One thing I learnt: when shoting a bike, have it leaning into the camera rather than away, when shooting from behind.

5. Another snapshot, would look better shot longer and lower as per 1.

6. Nice but the location isn't very exciting, it also doesn't look like he's trying, get him to hunch down as if he was really gunning it

7. That's just awful!

Not a bad effort though, makes it harder when you can't drive yourself I guess as you're limited to locations?

I see where you were going now George. Dean has already mentioned about the bike leaning away from the camera and in the link you'll see it's upright, they've definately photoshopped a support out there. The other big differences are there is too much space around yours and the whites are toned down in the original which allows the shaddows to attach the bike to the floor.

All in all though you've done very well for your first bike shoot(y)
