I cannot help on the ID's, got a book of Mauritius birds somewhere but can't find it.
Lots of happy memories looking at these, wish I was there

Nice set of shots of some exotic species, I believe 8 and 9 are both pics of a Mauritius green backed heron.

Thanks for that and I agree it does look like a green backed heron. On further investigation I think it is a Striated Heron
