Reminds me of the crows in, I think in Japan, that worked out if they dropped nuts on the road the cars would crack them and the crows could then eat the opened nuts.
This was really clever, but even better some of the crows worked out if they dropped the nuts on crossing it was easier to pick up the opened nuts when the traffic stopped for people to cross.
Corvids are just so interesting.
