Bit of a mouthful.

Sorry for the quality of the first shots, I was just getting settled in the hide when I seen the magpie fly down to the rock so was a bit hurried just trying to capture something of it.

I've never seen them take a mouse/vole before.

Just liked the colours of him in this one.

He came back later with slightly better light to pose for me though.

He flew off with it but can't be certain he actually ate it, Are they known to take mice at all?, was certainly a first for me.

That mouse was already dead. Seen two of them fighting over a dead rat once.

They always use that stone to perch on before coming to the feeders. I watched one ( usually a pair where you were ) catch and eat a butterfly which was sitting on a stump in front of the feeders. They will eat just about anything. I watched the same pair chase and be chased with a weasel.

Thanks folks for taking the time to comment, I'm hoping to pop back up to Lochwinnoch again this week and see what I can see. Was really nice to go back there again after such a long time.
