We have two bird houses in our backyard about 15 feet apart. One is in a tree and the other on our house. The one in the tree has a pair of Carolina Chickadees and the other has a pair of Bewick's Wrens. Yesterday one of the wrens carried a small worm went into the house the chickadees are using. We also watched it come out the house with a fecal capsule. This morning I've seen the chickadee pair in and out of the house like they're feeding, and the wren go in and out once. I've also seen a wren in the other house where they were nest building. I wonder if this is caused by the wrens losing their eggs/babies?
