Does anyone have any experience with the Black Widow Spider holster system. It looks pretty sweet and could work well for light hiking and fast camera access.

I've got two of them bolted on my thinktank belt. Very comfortable and secure. The plate attachment doesn't interfere at all on full body or gripped cameras and is relatively comfortable. There is also two way locking pin that can be left fully unlocked (for a quick draw) or require second hand to remove the camera.

Great bit of kit ........... I wondered around Universal Studios in Singapore with a 1dmkiii and a 100-400L is strapped to it all day ......... very comfy and as mentioned above ... easy for the old "quick draw" with the lock off ..... would recommend:thumbs::plusone::banana:
 
Been thinking of one myself for a while.

I have a shoulder problem and carrying a 5d2 and 100-400 is bad enough, but I've just been daft enough to buy a 1d3 which is a tad heavier.

So it's a deffo recommendation then ?

They look very handy indeed! I could imagine them being ace for anyone shooting with 2x bodies at any one time
 
Cotton carrier ... lite!
The original cotton carrier was geek central with one camera being chest-mounted.
The cotton carrier lite consists of a belt where two holsters can be attached, it's a very comfortable system with less movement than the spider system.
