hi everyone

thinking of getting myself one on PAYG... currently have a Nokia 5530.
Have just seen them available for £180 from phones4u, which seems a pretty decent price to me. I know a Bold is a better phone, but is it really £200+ better?

I'm not fussed about the camera being average (I have a D90 :D) and would just use the phone for calls, texts, email, browsing... and quite a few friends have BBs, so BBM would be quite useful.

If you mean the 9300 Curve, then it is a nice phone, you should go for it. The Bold definitely isn't worth the extra. The gap between the blackberry range is slowly closing. Years ago the bold and curve were very different, the curve was only 2G for starters, you'd need a bold for 3G.

Hope that helps :D

yep that's the one... thought about it the other week when it was £200 in carphone warehouse/O2 shop... so at £180 in phones4u, looks an even better deal! Think I might treat myself to one... will read up on them this afternoon and am going to the shops tomorrow so maybe pick one up

I dont know the specifics of the offer at Phones4U but I would try and get CPW to match their price simply because their phones are normally unbranded, and also they are much easier to deal with when it comes to warranty.

the p4u deal is £179.95 for the PAYG handset + £10 credit on TMobile/Vodafone/O2/Orange.

CPW has similar - £199.95 + £10 credit on O2

O2 has £200 + £10 credit

got one :D

first impressions are very good :)

so does anyone with a Blackberry recommend any particular apps, tips/tricks, etc?

I have the 8500 curve and the first thing I downloaded was the google app. Gives you maps and document readers

If you have a flickr account I use their app which allows direct uploads. Good if your into taking snap shots with your phone.
