Guys
My son has just bought a blackberry storm and a T mobile
contract sim that allows a certain amount of free web access
he can send and receive calls & text but cannot access the internet
After some research it would appear that the browser icon is missing from the menu

Any suggestions?
( in plain English please as I know nothing about these types of things )
Cheers

You have to subscribe to a Blackberry plan (which connects you to Blackberry Internet Services) as it requires a lot of features to be activated by the server such as Internet Browser, BBM, BB Maps, etc. I'm sure the Hotspot Browser was active on my Bold though without BIS. You'll have to contact T-Mobile and if it's second hand (I presume it is as Storms are a Vodafone exclusive) you'll also need to make sure that the PIN has been released from the previous carrier or you won't be able to register it with a new BIS provider.

Cheers Stu it was bought from flea bay "BNIB"

Edit seems as though it has already been registered another ****ing ebay scammer

I dont know if you have fixed the problem but maybe this might help Im not sure.

T-Mobile UK

· APN address: general.t-mobile.uk
· Username : user
· Password: wap

These are the settings for the internet on T-Mobile.

I think you still need BIS to activate the Blackberry Browser.

Thanks guys (y)
But after getting nothing in the way of help from T-mobile
he went over to a vodafone sim in the end, and the guy in the shop set it
all up for him and gave him a quick lesson in blackberry as well.
So, good old fashioned customer service still exists in some quarters (y)
